Back to the city's oldest market
Some places are better in the off-season, and the city's oldest market is one of them. Halfway through I switched to black and white, which suited the still weather much better.
Walking back, I found a side street I had never noticed before, lined with tiny workshops. The café near the city's oldest market still serves the same cinnamon buns; I had two and pretended it was research.
The light was still, and snow tracks kept pulling my attention away from anything I had planned to photograph. Working with a 35mm prime forces you to slow down. You think twice before pressing the shutter, and that changes the pictures.
It was a good reminder that interesting pictures rarely require going far.
