A short walk: an empty beach in November
I went to an empty beach in November with a pocket camera and no particular plan. Halfway through I switched to black and white, which suited the unhurried weather much better.
There is something calming about returning to the same spot and noticing small changes since the last visit. Locals barely noticed me. A man feeding gulls told me the place looks completely different in spring.
On the way home the train was nearly empty, so I reviewed the day's notes and planned the next trip. I tried a few long exposures, but the wind had other ideas. The handheld shots turned out better anyway.
By noon the crowds arrived, so I walked further along the path, where wild flowers were still undisturbed. Walking back, I found a side street I had never noticed before, lined with tiny workshops.
The full set of photos will go into the archive once the film comes back from the lab.
