A morning at an abandoned railway line

I went to an abandoned railway line with a cheap zoom from a flea market and no particular plan. By noon the crowds arrived, so I walked further along the path, where rain on glass were still undisturbed.

The path was muddy and longer than the map suggested, but the view at the end made up for it. Halfway through I switched to black and white, which suited the grey but generous weather much better.

I underexposed most of the frames on purpose, to keep the mood grey but generous rather than bright. An elderly couple asked me to take their picture. I used their phone, then made one frame of them on mine.

It was a good reminder that interesting pictures rarely require going far.
