Slow afternoon at the salt marshes

A friend suggested the salt marshes months ago, and this week I finally went. An elderly couple asked me to take their picture. I used their phone, then made one frame of them on mine.

The path was muddy and longer than the map suggested, but the view at the end made up for it. Shooting with a phone and nothing else meant I had to get closer than I am used to, which was uncomfortable at first.

There is something calming about returning to the same spot and noticing small changes since the last visit. Most of the morning went into watching small boats; I took fewer frames than usual, but each one felt deliberate.

The full set of photos will go into the archive once the film comes back from the lab.
