Notes from a village bakery
I went to a village bakery with a borrowed medium format camera and no particular plan. By noon the crowds arrived, so I walked further along the path, where footpaths were still undisturbed.
Halfway through I switched to black and white, which suited the strangely warm weather much better. Working with a borrowed medium format camera forces you to slow down. You think twice before pressing the shutter, and that changes the pictures.
An elderly couple asked me to take their picture. I used their phone, then made one frame of them on mine. The path was muddy and longer than the map suggested, but the view at the end made up for it.
It was a good reminder that interesting pictures rarely require going far.
