Learning to see window light

The forecast promised rain, so naturally I headed to the observatory hill. By noon the crowds arrived, so I walked further along the path, where window light were still undisturbed.

On the way home the train was nearly empty, so I reviewed the day's notes and planned the next trip. The light was strangely warm, and window light kept pulling my attention away from anything I had planned to photograph.

I kept a paper notebook this time, writing down the time and the light for every roll. An elderly couple asked me to take their picture. I used their phone, then made one frame of them on mine.

There is something calming about returning to the same spot and noticing small changes since the last visit. I sat on a bench for almost an hour, just watching winter colours change as the clouds moved.

The full set of photos will go into the archive once the film comes back from the lab.
